SUSTAINABLE Stabilizers
We are pleased to introduce three new embroidery stabilizers!
We have added a selection of stabilizers to our standard range that best meet your requirements for sustainability and functionality.
The tear‑away stabilizers stand out due to their composition of natural fibers and/or their biodegradability. Production within the EU ensures short transportation routes. The new stabilizers in the STIFFY range are OEKO-TEX certified and meet the strict quality standards you expect from GUNOLD®. This not only boosts your productivity but also helps reduce waste in your production. After embroidery, the stabilizer can be removed easily by tearing.
TEAR‑AWAY Stabilizers
STIFFY tear‑away stabilizers are our standard stabilizers for embroidery.
Their special fiber‑construction technology allows the stabilizer to be torn horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, ensuring residue‑free removal after stitching.
The time saved by quickly tearing away the stabilizer results in higher productivity. Clean tear edges around the embroidery also increase wearing comfort.
Cut‑Away Stabilizers
When maximum stability is required during embroidery, cut‑away stabilizers are the perfect choice. They provide exceptional stitch resistance. After embroidery, excess stabilizer is trimmed with scissors around the design; the part remaining in the fabric provides long‑term stabilization.
Ideal for knitwear and open‑structured fabrics!
IRON-ON Stabilizers
Elastic materials tend to stretch during embroidery – they absolutely require an iron‑on stabilizer. The applied heat‑activated stabilizer gives knits and fabrics with elastane more support and prevents distortion during stitching.
SELF‑ADHESIVE Stabilizers
FILMOPLAST® is the ultimate all‑purpose embroidery support: only the stabilizer is hooped, and the fabric to be embroidered is simply placed on top. This prevents hoop marks on sensitive fabrics.
As an adhesive backing, it stabilizes both woven and knitted fabrics and improves embroidery quality.
Even very small pieces that cannot be hooped can be embroidered easily using FILMOPLAST®.
Caps can also be embroidered without a cap frame — simply stick them onto FILMOPLAST® and start stitching!
WATER‑SOLUBLE Stabilizers
SOLVY FABRIC is the perfect stabilizer for all materials that can be washed: simply place it underneath during embroidery and dissolve it completely in water afterward.
Excellent for shirt and blouse fabrics, jersey and denim, and unbeatable for transparent curtains and veil fabrics.
