These are side and back views of this garment.
This vintage finish is achieved using a technique called ‘wara-kattoワラカット’, developed by an embroidery manufacturer in Fukuyama City,
which applies patterns using only an embroidery needle, without thread.
The denim fabric (Fukuyama Denim) is made by sewing together scraps of selvedge denim.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this fabric was donated to Slovakia by the fabric manufacturer.

The beige ribbon is called ‘Sanada-himo’. 《 真田紐 》
Sanada-himo is a traditional, sturdy plain-woven cord produced by interweaving warp and weft threads on a loom.
The warp consists of cotton or silk, whilst the weft is made of thicker cotton thread, resulting in a long, narrow, flat fabric.
During the Sengoku period, Sanada-himo was used as sword cords and fastenings for armour.
All the fabrics used are known as ‘ sashiko ’.《 刺し子 》
‘ Sashiko ' 《 刺し子 》 is a traditional Japanese hand-woven fabric.
From the Edo period to the present day, it has been used in traditional Japanese garments such as martial arts uniforms and workwear,
and has been passed down through the generations.
The fringing is produced by an embroidery manufacturer based in Fukuyama City.
By using an embroidery needle to cut the weft threads at regular intervals, a striped fringed pattern is created.
