The striking contrast between the vivid, warm-toned selvedge denim, the white stitching and
the beautiful French collar is particularly eye-catching.
Selvedge selvedges are featured at the waist and sides.
The slim selvedge trim creates a clean silhouette. These are simple tapered jeans
without back pockets.
The fastenings on both side pockets are accented with French-collar stitching.
In addition to the beautiful silhouette, the back waistband features elastic,
providing room around the waist and hips for a comfortable fit.

The warp consists of 7s ring-spun yarn with a natural irregularity, whilst the weft uses the same ring-spun yarn with a 6s natural irregularity.
The warp is dyed a deep indigo blue using a rope-dyeing machine, and the fabric is woven on a 50-year-old vintage shuttle loom.
To prevent twisting and shrinkage, the fabric undergoes singeing, skewing and sanforising treatments.

『Why is selvedge denim sewn using a TPS+ sewing machine?’』
Selvedge denim is not merely ‘Made in Japan’; it was revived by Japanese denim manufacturers during the 1970s and 1980s. It is a fabric woven on a shuttle loom,
where a single weft thread is woven back and forth across the entire width of the fabric.
As this method requires more time and effort than standard denim production, it is said to be unsuitable for modern mass production.
The fabric width is narrow, at 70–80 cm.
It is precisely because it is woven with such care and time that it achieves high density and excellent durability,
creating a unique texture with irregularities and texture variations, allowing you to enjoy
beautiful ageing over time.
The shuttle looms that produce this unique texture are no longer manufactured. Even repairing them requires specialist skills.
Some have been in continuous operation for over 40 years.
For these reasons, selvedge denim is highly prized today due to its rarity.
We are also particular about our sewing machines. To make the most of selvedge denim without waste,
we have introduced the ‘TPS+ sewing machine’.
Using the TPS (‘buttress’ technique), we eliminate seam allowances,
utilising every last bit of the fabric right down to the ‘selvedge’ section—the very essence of selvedge denim.
Furthermore, rather than simply using selvedge denim, some designs make use of the
‘ fabric scraps ’ left over after cutting.
The result is the ‘TPS+ Series’ by ZUCCHERO Blue, featuring an edgy design and
comprising a range of JK (unisex) and PT (men’s & women’s) styles.
