Karsu Textile was established in Kayseri in March 1973 with 25 partners and a capital of 500 thousand liras, with the initiative of Arif Molu. Immediately afterwards, by giving shares to the public and the workers working abroad, the company’s capital was increased, thus KARSU was transformed into a joint stock company. In the autumn of the same year, the foundation of the factory was laid, the order of the machines was made, and after about three years, yarn production was started in 1976.
since the mid-1980s, In the period of economic stability and breakthrough with liberal and outward-oriented economy policies, KARSU has started to increase rapidly by paying attention to exports and has become one of the largest textile companies in Turkey and gained a sought-after brand value through its investments and technological innovations. On these developments, it was opened to the public in 1994 and its shares started to be traded on the stock exchange.
