Description
Creator of Worlds Anne Lopez is based in her studio in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, where she specializes in the design and production of bespoke works for the luxury sector and interior architecture.
Through her works, she combines drawing and material to develop a series of dreamlike universe reflected in her various collection.
All her creations are centered around a common theme : movement and the forms shaped by the breath of wind; What drives her is the desire to infuse her work with a touch of reverie, lightness, and grace whatever the form it may take.
She first acquired her skills in drawing and molding during her studies at the Ecole Nationnale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris , then refined craft through experience , developing a unique technique and methode aimed at capturing the perfect gesture of the wrist and hand jsut before the material solidifies. Anne works with a lime-based mineral plaster, a technique dating back to Antiquity.However, she deliberately subverts this classical material, traditionnally used architecture and sculpture, to explore more contemporary and sometimes unexpected applications: interior of a car door (winner of the 2022 DS AUTOMOBILE DESIGN CALL) or crafting custom adornments for perfume bottles (Guerlain 2002-2024).
Her creative force lies in innovation and reinterpretation -reviving codes and giving them new momentum.Each project is an opportunity to experiment with new materials, embrace unconventional approaches, and stimulate her artistic language. The common thread running through her work is sensuality and lightness of wind , of dance.
Today her practice is expanding into textile, reinterpreting embroiery as a material-based expression.
This approach allows her to gain even more lightness , moving away from traditional bas-relief toward something more fluid and ethereal.
