INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY, SHIFTING GEARS
– MANIFESTO FOR INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Unpredictability is the new normal.

Be it geopolitics, economic exchanges, resources, or climate issues, change comes fast and without warning—yet it is urgently needed. More than ever, we must adapt and innovate, transform our mindsets, and change our models.

In this ever-changing world, where nothing feels certain, we at Première Vision choose to stand with those who continue to dream in times of turmoil, who see creativity in discomfort, and who embrace change as opportunity: the entrepreneurs, inventors, experimenters, and disseminators.

That is why we are making innovation and technology the central theme of the September 2025 edition—and of every September edition to come. We will be exploring every avenue of innovation available today.
Nature-driven innovation, grounded in biomimicry, explores the strategies embedded in all forms of life, from bio-fabrication to regenerative biological resources and biotechnological breakthroughs. On a broader level, it encompasses the concept of a symbiotic economy and a “perma-industry” as key elements in constructing a sustainable, post-fossil future.

But equally powerful is innovation through technology, where the synergy between algorithms, humans, and machines stretches the limits of reactivity and creativity. Digital tools and AI are leveraged to fuel augmented creativity as well as industrial solutions, ranging from digital sampling to digital twin machines. These solutions, processes and innovations are designed to support the major strategic decisions of the fashion industry

And of course, it’s innovation born from a fresh perspective—one that reexamines potential resources, makes use of what already exists, favors the local and the small-scale. Less is more, with an emphasis on emerging local ecosystems, water efficiency, reduced energy consumption, circularity, and zero waste, introducing new values — those of cooperation, to build collective resilience.
We will be sharing both established and emerging scientific knowledge, covering subjects of all sizes: from start-ups and pilot projects to large-scale commercialized solutions.

We will seek out solutions that connect, pose questions, stir emotions, and encourage debate. To inspire curiosity, unravel new threads, and craft fresh narratives.

Because that’s the essence of innovation!
