(Our company) Design, pattern making, cutting, sample production, sewing, quality control ■Textile No. 1 *S755 *Place of origin: Manufacturer in Fukuyama City *Composition: 100% cotton *11 oz *Warp and weft: 100% US cotton *Spun in Japan COTTON USA Certified Product Slightly uneven denim. We use mainly pure white, fluffy Texas cotton from the USA as the base, blending it with high-quality cotton from around the world in our own unique proportions, depending on the condition of the cotton crop that year. During the spinning process, we pass the yarn through the carding stage twice—a step that is usually performed only once—to moderately increase the uniformity of the fibres, resulting in a yarn with a gentle, subtle irregularity. ■ Textile No. 2 * BSP-13 Discharge-printed denim with goldfish pattern * Origin: Manufacturer in Fukuyama City * Composition: 100% cotton * 9.5 oz * Spun by a Japanese manufacturer This fabric features a 'Kingyo' pattern created using a technique known as ‘Chakushoku-bassen※’, which involves removing the indigo dye from the denim whilst applying other colours. By removing the dye once, the vibrant 'Kingyo' design is brought to the fore, allowing you to enjoy the way the denim ages over time. ※ ‘Chakushoku-bassen’〈着色抜染〉 ‘ ‘Chakushoku-bassen’’ (or ‘Chakubatsu’〈着抜〉) is a technique in which pigments are printed onto the discharged areas at the same time as the discharge process takes place. By bleaching the fabric white and then applying colour, even patterns and colours that would normally be obscured by darker shades can be rendered vividly. This is a technique that allows both processes to be carried out ‘at the same time’. ■Product wash: Strong bio-wash Place of manufacture: Fukuyama City – A manufacturer specialising in denim washing and distressing.
