Innovation and Technology in the Spotlight at Première Vision Paris in September

FACING FASHION FORWARD

Fashion is fighting against a volatile world. Input costs are rising, growth has stagnated, margins have fallen by double digits in some sectors, and demand can spike and fall overnight, trapping precious capital in unsold inventory. Protecting profitability is now the universal objective. 

Meanwhile, customers are setting historic highs for newness, quality, transparency, and value, while product teams confront new realities: real-time trend data driving decisions, digital-first workflows reshaping concepting and design, and fundamental questions about how automation will reconfigure the balance between human creativity and AI by 2030.

The industry sees technology as a solution: AI, digital, and technology capabilities emerged as the top-rated opportunity in The State Of Fashion 2026, and although creative AI workflows capture the most attention, 75% of executives expect AI to help address deeper priorities in demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, and cost control

A stubborn gap remains between digital adoption and solving core problems – from margin protection and pricing evolution, to fabric innovation, production innovation, and extended environmental and ethical responsibility. This 1-3 September, Première Vision Paris will focus on bridging that gap.
