SAVOIR-FAIRE TAKE CENTRE STAGE!

As an active, forward-looking observer of the industry, Première Vision has been placing savoir-faire and its regional identities in the spotlight for the past two seasons. Launched in February 2025, this exploration continued in February 2026 with a second chapter dedicated to France, Portugal and Japan. In January 2027, Première Vision opens a third chapter, putting India in the spotlight. Through a dedicated pavilion, this country, with its wealth of textile expertise, will reveal its textile philosophy and the exceptional skills of its artisans. 

This edition will also showcase the diversity of regions and craftsmanship represented by exhibitors from around the world. Historic centres of savoir-faire reinventing themselves, emerging hubs of innovation driven by schools and incubators, committed ecosystems fostering collaboration and traceability: everywhere, creativity is taking new forms. From reimagined dyeing techniques to new approaches to ornamentation, Première Vision gives a voice to these regions and to the people who innovate, pass on their knowledge and keep savoir-faire evolving.

INDIA, TEXTILE FOREVER

In India, textiles move through time without ever standing still. Knowledge is passed down, transformed and reinvented. Ikat, block printing, regional embroidery, cotton, silk, khadi… Techniques and materials shaped by centuries of history find new forms of expression through fresh color palettes, new applications and contemporary creative visions. Handcraft meets innovation, traditional skills become a field for experimentation, and heritage continues to inspire creation.

Here, textiles are a living culture, shaped by layers of history, cross-cultural influences and shared skills. Sustained by countless skilled hands across diverse regions, this culture gives artisans a new role as co-creators and brings forth a multifaceted fashion scene, deeply rooted in local identities and open to the world. 

In January 2027, Première Vision Paris celebrates this evolving Indian textile landscape, drawing on the strength of its heritage to create new expressions of fashion.
